As a Master Herbalist, I know how beneficial Black Garlic is. Though not as well-known as its white counterpart, black garlic is enjoying a rise in popularity in gastronomic circles and the alternative medicine field.
Introduced to the health and food markets about five years ago by the Koreans, garlic becomes "black garlic" through a month long process of fermentation under strictly controlled heat and humidity. The health benefits of black garlic are being touted by natural medicine practitioners and herbalists. The month long fermentation process in creating black garlic contributes to creating a kind of super garlic.
The compound S-allylcysteine, a natural component of fresh garlic and a derivative of the amino acid cysteine, was found in much greater concentrations in black garlic and is thought to help lower cholesterol and decrease the risk of cancer.
Black garlic has been found to have twice the antioxidant properties of conventional garlic. Antioxidants protect the cells from disease and are thought to slow down the aging process as well. Because black garlic is so potent, the heightened levels of antioxidants offering protection from free radical damage make it an ideal food for thwarting chronic disease.
Free radicals damage cells leading to heart disease, Alzheimer's, circulatory problems, rheumatoid arthritis and other chronic diseases. The fermentation that produces black garlic reduces the pungent odor and strong flavor, making it more palatable and appealing to some people.

Black Garlic is a pretty simple concept, but very hard to execute at home. To get Black Garlic you need to have garlic ferment, to do that, it has to be kept constantly at 140°-150°F for 30-40 days.
I don’t know about you, but I have no appliance that will keep a constant temp for that long. Yes, you could buy a Thermostat Regulator and a Thermocouple Temperature Control K Type Sensor and hook it up to an appliance at home, but that will set you back $50 plus it could cause a fire in your home. It is just not feasible to make at home. These capsules make it simple and fast to use! I even went as far as to cut open a capsule and I can tell that they have no fillers and are high quality pure Black Garlic. I will be purchasing more of this product in the future. I did receive a sample bottle in lieu of my honest opinion. I am not required to give this product a good review, but in my findings, I chose to give it an excellent review!
